Supply Chain Responsiveness in Practice
As a project sponsor, S A Partners is collaborating with Cranfield University, Tata Beverages, Manhattan Associates and many others on the SCRiP (Supply Chain Responsiveness in Practice) project, which runs from October 2010 to September 2012.
SCRiP is a task group at Cranfield University's School of Management, set up to help industry supply chains to respond effectively to customer needs. The ways in which an organisation is sensitive to its market and to demands from customers are a good indicator of a company's agility. High levels of responsiveness to what customers want can inspire unparalleled levels of satisfaction and loyalty - but achieving these levels is a challenge.
SCRiP brings together expertise and experience from industry and academia to realign supply chain strategies in some of the UK's largest and most influential organisations. The principal barrier that the project aims to overcome is the alignment between the desire to meet customer demands and the way in which internal processes and resources are deployed to achieve it.
