Lean & Green Expert Joins S A Partners
S A Partners has announced that Dr Keivan Zokaei has joined the company from the Lean Enterprise Research Centre, where he was a senior research fellow and director of the MSc in Lean Operations Management (Service).
Dr Zokaei has advised supermarket chains, food manufacturers and FMCG companies on how to improve their business performance by focusing on effectiveness - doing the right things well - rather than efficiency, which can mean doing the wrong things better. Recently, he has expanded his thinking to include 'Lean & Green' - a better understanding of how removing waste through Lean improvement also helps to achieve environmental targets.
Dr Zokaei has lectured on executive and postgraduate degree courses at Cardiff, Cambridge and Warwick Universities, and has delivered short courses and bespoke training for the private sector. He recently advised the Auditor General for Wales on the adoption of Lean Thinking in the public sector and worked with both the Welsh Assembly Government and the Wales Audit Office to deliver more efficient public services.
